A brief movie on Spatial audio and orchestrated video. These components of the TA2 system we’ve just tested with groups of 6 people communicating 3 on 3 from two different locations. The main goal of these evaluations being measuring the effects of the high quality audio and video orchestration on the (social) experiences of people and the actual changes in social communication.

I’ve just started exploring and using Scrivener, an amazing program for writing all kinds of long texts in a non-linear fashion. Truly, it’s an amazing program!!! You can try it for 30 days for free, but I’ve bought it after using it for 3 day. It’s for Mac as well as Windows and to get a good impression of its possibilities you should start with the Tutorial available from the Help menu of Scrivener. Have a look at Scrivener’s site:

I’ve given a presentation at this event: Human Technology bestaat 10 jaar! – Hanzehogeschool Groningen (presentation title: All your base are belong to us. Humanizing technology or Technologizing humanity). I’ll do my best the put either the slides or a white paper about this topic online as soon as possible.

The newest deliverable for the user studies within the TA2 project is now available at: TA2 Together Anywhere, Together Anytime (see the link User Evaluations at the top of the list of deliverables). If you’re going to read it I would like to hear your opinion on this work!

I got an error message in PASW18 (SPSS for Mac) after updating Mac OS: “Could not start Java Virtual Machine. Chart will not be drawn”. I couldn’t open/import exel files either. I solved these problems by using the following info:
